North Creek Farm represents a new generation of Hokkaido winemaking, founded by Masamitsu and Ayako Suzuki who left corporate careers in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa to pursue their winemaking dream in Niki-cho in 2019. Originally focusing on cherry and table grape cultivation, they transitioned to wine grape production in 2020, producing their first wines in 2022. The winery emphasizes minimal chemical intervention and hands-on vineyard management, with the owners personally walking the vineyard daily to hand-remove diseased parts. Their careful observation and vintage-driven approach reflects their commitment to expressing the unique terroir of Niki through small-batch, high-quality wines. The winery officially opened its own production facility in 2024.
