A winery operated by the Yamazaki family, who have been farming in Mikasa City for four generations. Founder Kazuyuki identified the land's suitability for winemaking, and currently his sons Taichi (grape production) and Ryoichi (winemaking) manage the winery. Utilizing the unique geology of Mt. Tappu (once a seabed), which provides diverse soil fertility and water flow, they cultivate many types of unique grape varieties. Through community-based agriculture and continuous innovation, they produce wines with depth of flavor. Their quality has been recognized with the highest five-star award for six consecutive years at the Japan Winery Awards. The family's commitment to community-based agriculture and their innovative approach to utilizing the unique terroir of Mt. Tappu has established them as one of Hokkaido's most awarded wineries, demonstrating the potential of multi-generational wine family operations.
